Kennedy Redford is a Limited Liability multi-disciplinary consultancy offering Civil and Structural Engineering, Sustainability and Building Services design, and Principal Designers.

We specialise in supporting clients who require an alternative approach to how their projects are delivered. We recognise that great design includes taking responsibility for the client, not only during the design and construction stages, but also when considering the end users of a development.

We seek to help our clients become more sustainable by investing in the development of our people, investing in research and development associated with the services we offer and by sharing industry knowledge with our clients. This approach can lead to innovative design solutions that reduce embodied and operational carbon, therefore improving our industry’s environmental impact.

We are particularly interested in simplifying complex problems and embrace the opportunity to work on challenging projects or technical commissions. Our key focus is to deliver added value, regardless of scope, stage or contract value.

We approach this by considering alternative designs that do not compromise the quality or safety of a project mandate. We ensure that our teams consider emerging or innovative strategies that are both cost effective and specific to the unique criteria of a project.

Company History

Kennedy Redford was founded in 2019 by Rob Kennedy and Corrie Duncan. Rob and Corrie first met in the Middle East whilst managing a site based technical team responsible for monitoring the construction of disaster recovery data centres. Following the successful completion of these major projects, Rob and Corrie repatriated to the UK and began building the business plan for what would become Kennedy Redford.

Our initial approach was simply to provide clients with a high-quality service whilst remaining reactive to the changing needs of a project. At first, the team comprised of a small group of experienced civil and structural engineers, delivering small to medium commissions for a select group of clients. By developing close relationships with these clients, the team were successful in securing repeat business which paved the way for future expansion.

Building on the success of its’ first year of trading, Kennedy Redford secured premises in Altrincham and began to build a more established team in response to the growing demand for professional engineering services. The business remained busy throughout the COVID 19 pandemic which led to further strategic expansion in 2021 and the appointment of former colleagues Dan Bradley and Dilon Hilton as members of the board.

The introduction of Dilon coincided with the expansion of our core services and the establishment of a full multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. Throughout 2022, the business invested heavily in growing a large team that could deliver multi-discipline projects across a range of sectors. During this same period, the leadership team was further expanded through the introduction of former colleagues, Pedro Vicente and Ian Crook. In response to the rapid transformation of the business over the formative years of expansion, Dan Bradley was appointed Managing Director in 2023.

Today, the Kennedy Redford team comprises a diverse range of professionals who all share the same passion for delivering practical engineering solutions. We place a strong focus on staff wellbeing, and our company ethos embraces modern flexible working. Still based in Altrincham, Kennedy Redford continues to take pride in delivering high quality engineering services for its clients.
